Hello all. I'm pretty sure this question has been asked and answered somewhere on here before but I can't seem to find it. I'm 6'5'' and approx 270lbs and I love doing bands runs. I like to add them to my workouts a couple times a week. However, I can't seem to get a set that will hold up. I've broken three sets in the last month. Can anyone suggest a place to buy or order some bands that won't break on me mid stride?

Thanks

What bands have you used? I have some Iron Woody bands and they seem pretty durable but I haven't had them long enough to give any long term assesment. Look through Ross' articles there's enough on them there.

I have used several brands, especially Iron Woody. I have found that you need to be very careful on how you attach the band to the anchor and yourself. Often the band is damaged where it is attached by some sharp(ish) edge. I found some very big and thick carabiners used for climbing that we now use, and the bands are holding up a lot longer. I found out some other trainers were tying them together and doing weird stuff to anchor the bands, and we had several break. After some tongue lashing and being shown the proper way, the bands are doing much better. I have had some thicker ones last for 4 years so far...of course they will all eventually break with use, but should last a good while longer if taken care of properly.

Speaking of bands. What is the length of bands that you guys use? I can't remember the length of the band that I have but doesn't seem to stretch out as far as it is shown in Ross's video.
