I just got my sled back from the fabricators today. I dropped $106 on it all told ($100 + $6 tax). I whipped up a crude sketch of what I wanted and they had happened to have a piece of scrap that worked perfectly. I primed and painted it this morning and am hoping to take it for a "spin" in the back yard this afternoon. Sure beats dropping $220 on one from Elite Fitness! http://www.flexcart.com/members/elitefts/default.asp?m=PD&cid=114&pid=8

Sled looks great. Let us know how everything goes when using it.

in reality, the best sled u can usually get for free... besides the tire idea and putting wood in it to stack weights, my football team also uses those forklift wooden skids that we put weight on and tied ropes around, you can pile the weight on with those without much limitation, and in my opinion those are the best
