I got both books at the beginning of January and have been running a NG-II-NG-II.... schedule every other week(NG-W1,II-W2...) Intense Training Sessions, and I love every one of them.

Hey all.
Don't mean to beat this topic to death, but....
In regards to weights in II.
I like doing my workouts at the track.
Are the workouts something that I can just bring a heavy plated dumbell w/ me.
Or is it something that I need to be home to have access to a bench and or a barbell as well.
thanks all
Sandon

The workouts are only samples based on certain principles of training. You can adapt those principles to any modalities. There are no rules, only options.

At least one person was paying attention.

I tried one handed barbell snatches and c&j yesterday. While it takes some time to get used to it, it's pretty fun once you get the hang of it. But do't try DB swings with an olympic barbell as substitute

I don't see many people doing one-legged snatches ...
Overhead press o.k. And for the other lifts variety is usefull, but "better" with dumbbells, when the lower body/core does the main work? I mean, the load isn't that high for these body parts, if you can do 5x db snatch right arm + 5x db snatch left arm as in a 5x barbell snatch.
At the end I want power, not balance from power training.
