I have struggled with the muscle up for a while now. so much so that I quit trying and went back to the usual pullups, dips, bench press, etc. I basically had to keep jumping into the movement. I had more success with muscleups on a bar than I did on rings.

here is a helpful video

At first I thought the key was the false grip, which I ahdn;'t been suing, but that didn't ame it any easier! I think I'll work towards their suggested 15 dips ina row and 15 pullups in a row. Then I will begin to work on muscleups.

dont expect a magic number to be the key. I can get 20 pullups and a plethora of dips (well over 30) and still cant. I think Ross suggests to keep trying the movement itself (with a jump or swing of the legs)....but keep in mind this is coming from someone who still cant get one. what works for one person may not for another due to body type, strength, flexibility, etc.
